In an 80’s TV commercial a very famous Finnish actor sits outside the sauna and eats sausage reflecting on what it is to be a Finn.
His only line is “In Finland we have this thing called reilu meininki“ which translates to “fair play”. He refers to the taste of the product and the big pieces of sausage on his sandwich.
“In Finland we have this thing called“ has since become an colloquially universal saying, where the last part is interchangeable to anything Finnish. This project aims to share the essence of the Finnish soul through informative and humanistic videos and performances.
